Mipharm S.p.A. was born in January 1998 following the merger of Sandoz and Ciba Geigy, from which resulted the new company Novartis.
Mipharm was founded by a group of ex managers coming from Novartis and leaded by Mr. Giuseppe G. Miglio, by mean of a spin-off of the manufacturing site located in Milan, via Quaranta, previously owned by Sandoz. Mr. Miglio had been guiding the company until December 2016, when Mandarin Capital Partners II acquired the majority stake in Mipharm S.p.A. share capitaland some of Mipharm managers invested alongside Mandarin Capital Partners II.
