Molecure is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company that uses its world leading medicinal chemistry capabilities to discover and develop first in class small molecule drug candidates that directly modulate underexplored protein targets and the function of RNA to treat multiple incurable diseases. Molecure has generated a diverse pipeline of seven distinct programs with the support of leading academic life science institutions globally. Molecure's lead drug candidate is OATD-01, a first-in-class dual chitinase inhibitor for the treatment of fibrotic and inflammatory diseases, including interstitial lung diseases such as sarcoidosis and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). The phase I study was completed in 2022 and the phase II study in sarcoidosis patients started in March 2024. OATD-02 is the first and only dual acting, highly potent arginase inhibitor in cancer development, involved in both tumor immunity and metabolism. In March 2023, Phase 1 clinical trial was initiated.
